Marriage of Mr Alfred Rangeley - The wedding of Mr Alfred Rangeley of Hayfield, a well known member of the Hayfield Church bell-ringers, took place on Monday last, his bride being Miss Mary Weager, of Brimfield, Herefordshire. The marriage took place at St Barnabas Church, Pendleton, the officiating clergyman being Rev Alfred George, vicar of that parish. The newly married couple returned home by train in the evening.

We regret to record the death of Mr Alfred Rangeley, a well known gentleman, which occured at Preston during the early part of the week. Mr Rangeley, who was 72 years of age, was a famous bell ringer, and had been interested in campanology for many years. He was a ringer for a long period at Hayfield Parish Church, and his name may be seen in the ringing chamber to-day along with others, on a board, which records an exceptionally fine performance with the bells many years ago. The deceased had a long connection with the church, and was formerly employed at the Kinder Printworks. He was also an old member of Court Kinder Scout of the Order of Foresters. His father was Caleb Rangeley, and Mr Ernest Rangeley of Fisher's Lane is a brother. He leaves a widow (second wife) and a family. The funeral took place ay Hayfield to-day (Friday).
