The High Peak Reporter, Sat Oct 15 1898:
"Death of Mrs Rangeley. We regret to record the death of Mrs Rangeley,
which occurred on Tuesday. The deceased who was well known and highly respected was 78 years of age.
She came to Hayfield when about 18 years of age as a servant to the Rev Mr Wass,
and afterwards married Mr Caleb Rangeley, who died about 30 years ago. She has resided in Church-street since her marriage."
