The High Peak Advertiser Friday Sept 20th 1912:
"Interesting Wedding- A pretty wedding of local interest was solemnised at the Parish Church on Monday, in which the parties to the contract were Mr Dennis Rangeley, third son of Mr John Rangeley, of Hayfield, and Miss Martha Ann Bennett, second daughter of Mr John Bennett, of Holly House, Highgate. The bride was given away by her father, and was neatly attired in cream silk. She also wore a veil, and a wreath of orange blossom, and carried a shower bouquet of white lilies. Her bridesmaids were the Misses Alice Garside, Sarah Bennett (sister of the bride), and Ann Rangeley (sister of the bridegroom). Mr J Rangeley acted as best man, and Mr S Bennett as groomsman, while the Rev W Rickaby conducted the nuptial ceremony. About fifty guests sat down to an excellent wedding breakfast at the bride's home, and merry peals were rung on the Church bells in honour of the event. Mr and Mrs Rangeley, who have received many presents, left later in the day to spend the honeymoon at Llandudno. They will afterwards reside at Burnley."
